| The three layers of different-sized blocks
symbolize the new city center of Shinjuku. On clear days,
Mount Fuji is visible, and the upper stories enjoy a panoramic
view of the city. But there is more than aesthetics to
Shinjuku Park Tower. It was designed for functionality
too, including, for example, mechanisms and structures
to restrain any acceleration in wind speed so as to minimize
the impact of "building wind tunnels." In the
upper stories, the Park Hyatt Tokyo is located; in the
lower stories, the Living Design Center OZONE and a number
of shops and restaurants. |
